Not a snow day...

....it was a snow three (or so) hours!

Not much but we'll take it!

This is what we woke up to. Which is funny because it was so dark with the curtains drawn that we both thought the girls were crazy for waking up so early (it was 7.15am!). It was also quite cold in the house. Well SURPRISE!!!!

It was snowing! The view from our bedroom window.

Well such an opportunity could not be wasted with the girls quickly learning the word "Snow" and seemingly were interested in heading out into it. So we dressed warmly and went out the front.

As normal Kendall wasn't too happy about wearing something on her head so she is sans-hat!

I hate to state the obvious but don't they look like twins in this pic?
Syd wasn't too sure about the snow and was very, very hesitant about touching/feeling/looking at the snow. Kendall was loving it gung-ho style. I managed to get the hat on once her head became wet and cold.
This where Syd started to go downhill quite quickly.
And then she was gone...tears and an utter refusal to touch the snow. Kendall would have been rolling in it if we would have let her.
 Views of the backyard.

The view across the valley. Yes, no sunrise mountain to be seen.
Storm kept saying how much he wants to live in the snow. How much we were missing...etc, etc, etc.

I kept saying how bleeding cold it was and noting all of the accidents around town (brought to our attention by the traffic report on the news. Yes, us Las Vegas cannot seem to get it together come any weather that isn't sunshine and intense heat!).

Anyway, we will not be moving anywhere it snows on a regular basis in winter or otherwise. We are moving to Texas where the days will be longer, the weather will be milder (even with the hurricanes) and the beach welcomes me with open arms....

Snow is nice for vacations and for the occasional three hours. Thanks for the surprise!
